Too many people who work in our communities can no longer afford to live in them.

At the State level, I’ve been a leading voice to build more workforce housing and make it easier to achieve the American dream. I’ve worked to expedite the process to build new housing, securing millions to build thousands of additional housing units in our counties, and especially rural communities.

I’ll fight for major federal investments in affordable housing, first-time homebuyer support, renter tax credits and protections, and housing production that meets the needs of working families, seniors, and young people. Housing is fundamental to economic security — and we need bold action to address the crisis.
